Greener Shipley

Greener Shipley The Parish Council is preparing a climate action plan to align with Horsham District Council’s wider draft strategy; its goal being to support the whole of Horsham District to become carbon neutral by 2050 (https://www.horsham.gov.uk/climate-and-environment/climate-change-action-strategy). We are still looking for more residents in the Shipley parish area to help put together our very own local climate action plan. We would very much welcome environment enthusiasts to join a small working group to:

1. Build on the great things already happening, such as recycling bins at our schools and refillables and repair cafe at Shipley Hub, No Mow May, Green education agenda in schools, teaching the next generation about climate change, Rewilding projects (e.g. at Dragon & Knepp Estates) and

2. Set out actions, large and small, we can take in the future towards a greener Shipley. We would like to hold the first meeting in September. Please contact [email protected]. We do hope you will join us.
